Aiming for the Top 15 or even the Top 10 of the French Technology Fast 50 ranking organized by Deloitte and In Extenso, Pixiel Drone Systems Experts distinguished itself last night at the awards ceremony in Paris by winning the 6th place in the national ranking.
The 15th national ranking boasted a record number of winners, with 459 French companies in competition, all recognized for their performance combining growth and innovation. Pixiel Drone Systems Experts, one of the 10 French leaders in the commercial civilian drone sector, was already honoured on 5 November with the 1st prize in the Technology Fast 50 ranking for Western France. The company was rewarded for its hyper-growth rate of 1500% over 4 years!

A growth rate of 1500% in 4 years
Founded in 2011, now in hyper-growth

Manufacturer / Design office
Founded in 2011, PIXIEL designs and engineers custom commercial civilian drone systems for any commercial application. All PIXIEL drone systems are certified by the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC), tested under extreme conditions and field-proven for their performance and dependability. PIXIEL also boasts a design office that currently has 10 engineers working on technologies to develop the “drone of the future”, in collaboration with partners and laboratories. Each technological building block developed in PIXIEL’s design office is protected by several patents in the field of drones and drone applications. To stay one step ahead of the strong competition posed by China and the US in this sector, PIXIEL reinvests more and more each year in its R&D. Currently PIXIEL allocates 40 to 50% of its revenue to R&D.

L’Ecole des Métiers du Drone – Drone Flight Training School: 6 training centres in France
Training is another major business unit of PIXIEL, an SME that currently has 20 employees, with plans to increase to 35 employees in 2016. After its Nantes site, the Ecole des Métiers du Drone, the leading drone flight training school in France, opened five new training centres in 2015 throughout France. In 2016 Pixiel will have trained 500 professionals.

“Ever since my partner Philippe Baranger and I founded PIXIEL in 2011, our revenue has basically doubled each year. This correlates with the evolution of the French commercial civilian drone market, an emerging sector that is experiencing exponential growth (300 million in 2015). PIXIEL has posted growth of 1512% of its revenue since it was founded. Today, we are present throughout France, with strong export ambitions” says Moïse Rogez, CEO and founder of PIXIEL.

Accelerating export development
Objective: Raise 2 million euros

PIXIEL GROUP is one of 10 leaders in the French commercial civilian drone sector. Its well-known expertise, its technological lead when it comes to developing business applications and its long-term vision of this booming market are credentials of trustworthiness. In just a short time, PIXIEL has been able to reassure the investors who provided seed funding (BPI France in particular). Now Moïse Rogez, CEO and founder of PIXIEL, wants to accelerate business development in export markets, especially in Latin America. “From the beginning, we have been pioneers in our sector. We continue to act as such by seeking out new growth markets. To accelerate our international development, we are currently contacting capital investors” says Moïse Rogez.
